CAMP FOOD

At Camp Tidnish, we believe that our meals must be tasty and nutritious. Our Food Service Manager has many years of experience creating menus and preparing yummy food. Our Food Service Team follows Canada’s Food Guide and works closely with our Health Care Team to make sure that campers and staff eat well - the Food Service Team’s motto is “No one goes hungry!” Meals are served family style and campers and counsellors sit together at all meals.

SPECIAL DIETS (Vegan, gluten-free, etc.)

You may send any necessary special foods to camp and label them with the camper’s full name. We cannot accommodate diets that require very selective foods, but you are welcome to send them. Our staff can puree foods and provide other texture modifications, but they cannot count calories or provide tofu, millet, gluten-free, etc. unless the items are sent to the camp. We can accommodate campers with diabetes.

BIRTHDAYS AT CAMP

Birthdays are very important to us, a birthday at camp is a great experience! This is a day that campers or staff members are away from their families so we like to make things extra special! At dinner, the whole camp celebrates a camper’s or staff member’s birthday with a birthday card, cake and the singing of Happy Birthday.

THEME LUNCHES

Creating great camp experiences is all about how we engage campers and this is why we try to make every day as memorable as possible, one of the many ways in which we do this is with our theme lunches. They range from Moustache Lunch, Business Lunch, Karaoke Lunch, Bingo Lunch, Super Hero Lunch and more. Lunch times are varied and fun, and the cabins that participate fully win points towards the camp cabin points competition.
